*Some Things Money And Stuff Can’t Buy*

Greetings and blessings! Of course, money is a necessity to survive in this nowadays world, but we should know, it’s not everything. Yes indeed, it can buy just about all of the material things you can possibly think of, but it cannot buy things we need the most, which is life.

Greetings and blessings! Of course, money is a necessity to survive in this nowadays world, but we should know, it’s not everything. Yes indeed, it can buy just about all of the material things you can possibly think of, but it cannot buy things we need the most, which is life. And so sad to say, but it’s very true; some have too much money and will not help themselves and no one else. Money will not buy you peace, joy, happiness, or love but it will give you sleepless nights worrying about who will spend it when you can’t. And spoiler alert, you can’t take it with you. I once heard a story of this stingy married man who wanted to take all of his money with him after death. So then, the wife kindly obliged him; she didn’t rent a U-Haul to pack the money, but instead, she wrote a check for every penny he had. So, as she was viewing, at the last glance, she put the check in his casket. As the funeral director was closing the casket, he asked the wife if she meant to drop the check in. She quickly and boldly replied, sure of course, he wanted it. She was absolutely certain that he would never be able to cash it. (smile!) Furthermore, money will not buy genuine friends which we all need to stick by us to the end. But however, it surely will buy so-called hang out friends, when the money is gone, they are gone too. Money may buy you the best of health care with the finest professional doctor but will not save your life. It also may buy you an elaborate funeral, but it still will not get you into heaven and eternal life. If money would literally buy life, man would live and never die.

In God’s Bible, it tells of King Solomon who of all the abundant richest God could have given him, he chose instead; wisdom, understanding, and largeness of heart. And he loved God. Read 1 King 4:29-34. And too, in short, “The Parable Of The Rich Fool” tells of this certain man who had an abundant harvest, and instead of sharing it, he decided to be selfish and build bigger barns to store it. “God said, you fool, tonight thy life is demanded of thee.” Read Luke 12:16-21 (NIV). “Judas sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.” (Matthew 26:12-14). Obviously, money is not necessarily the root, but “the love of money is the root of all evil.” (I Timothy 6:10) My wife Juanita often quotes her dad saying, “What you have do you no good if you don’t use it to help someone else.” And I do agree totally because you will not only make an enormous difference in their life, but in your life as well. May God’s grace, blessings and love be forever with you!
