Hilltop students celebrate National Young Readers week
The second
grade students of Hilltop Elementary celebrated National Young Readers week in
a big way. There was a parade and everything! Students dressed like their
favorite book characters. Characters like Cinderella, Harry Potter, Curious
George, Angelina Ballerina were seen walking the halls of Hilltop. A “Book in a
Bag” activity was completed were the students had to present the book they
represented by introducing 3 interesting facts about the book to their class. It
was a great way to explore a good book.
