Northside

Northside (2-3, 0-1 Region 2-6A) is on their second bye this week. They come back on Oct. 9 to play Tift County on the road.

Perry

Perry (2-4, 1-1 Region 2-5A) is off this week on their first bye week. They’ll be back in action on Oct. 9 at home against Jones County.

Veterans

Veterans (4-1, 1-0 Region 2-6A) made an incredible comeback for their first region win of the year last week against Northside. That was also their fourth consecutive win, the first streak of that length since 2020.

Now, after a brief stop at home, the Warhawks will head back on the road as they take on Thomas County Central this week.

The two programs played for the first time in 2016 and have clashed every year since as region foes. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series 5-3, and Veterans hasn’t won since 2019.

Last week, TCC put a whooping on Lee County, 49-26. That’s their closest score this season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the Jackets’ Nest.

Warner Robins

The Demons (4-2, 2-0 Region 2-5A) are fresh off of a two-game win streak on which they’ve thumped Union Grove and Eagle’s Landing.

Warner Robins will continue to ramp up their region schedule as they host Locust Grove this week. The Demons are 6-1 all-time against the Wildcats, who won in 2016. This year, Locust Grove is 1-5 after a 57-14 loss to Perry.

The Wildcats’ offense has failed to score more than twice three times this season; their season high is 34 in a 54-34 loss to Griffin the season opener.

Kickoff is scheduled for Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the MAC.

Westfield

Westfield (3-3) just got off of a double bye week and are ready to start their district schedule this week.

Tiftarea Academy will come to town as the Hornets return from a two-game road trip. This is the last stop for the Panthers on their three-game road trip.

Westfield leads the all-time series 16-4 and has only lost once in the 2020s, 20-19 in 2025.

Tiftarea Academy has struggled with the top teams in the GIAA; they lost to John Milledge Academy 38-0, Valwood 28-20 and 44-22 to Southwest Georgia Academy (ranked fifth in 2A).

The last time the two teams played, which was the first round of the 2025 playoffs, Westfield won 42-6.

Kickoff is scheduled for Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hornets’ Nest.
