Warner Robins PD investigates woman shot, killed by husband
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — At 12:46 a.m. Thursday, Warner Robins Police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired. The caller had been shot.
When first responders arrived, they found two vehicles pulled off of the roadway within the 100 block of Wallace Drive, and the victim on the ground outside of the lead vehicle, suffering from her wounds. The offender, the victim’s husband, remained on scene.
The victim, 30-year-old Christy Fisher of Jones County, was transported to Houston Medical Center. She later died as a result of her injuries.
This information was provided by the Warner Robins Police Department via a press release. The Journal spoke with Lt. Eric Gossman for additional details.
“Patrol responded to a shots fired call, and when they got there they found vehicles pulled off in the grass, the female victim was laying on the ground and the offender was still on scene,” Gossman confirmed. “It’s a domestic incident.”
Two vehicles were involved in the incident. Christy Fisher was in the lead vehicle, as well as, at the time of the investigation Thursday, two unidentified individuals.
The offender, Christy Fisher’s husband, identified as 32-year-old Alexander Fisher of Jones County, was in a following vehicle. Describing the scene, Gossman said the offender’s vehicle was crashed into the victim’s.
“The officers got there, they find the victim lying on the ground, they get EMS en route, get her loaded up and taken to HMC,” Gossman said.
Coroner James Williams told The Journal that an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 20. Christy Fisher was pronounced dead at 1:48 a.m., just over an hour after she called 911.
According to the press release, Alexander Fisher was immediately detained at the scene. Gossman said the offender has been arrested. The offender shot the victim using a handgun.
In an updated press release, published Friday, Warner Robins Police identified the two additional individuals involved: 24-year-old Nicholas Carruolo and 30-year-old Johntavius Reese. Both are considered to be victims of Aggravated Assault.
According to the updated press release, further investigation revealed a fuller narrative:
“During [a domestic dispute], Alexander Fisher collided his truck with a vehicle that contained Christy Fisher, Carruolo and Reese. Alexander Fisher exited his truck and fired his pistol into the vehicle striking Christy Fisher. The other occupants were not injured.”
Alexander Gossman is charged by the Warner Robins Police Department with Malice Murder, three counts of Aggravated Assault and Aggressive Driving.
