There’s not a lot of football in Houston County’s borders on Friday, but there are still plenty of interesting matchups in Week 4.
Let’s take a look at the slate:

Northside
Northside (2-1) is riding some very real momentum after snapping their nine-year losing streak to Warner Robins in the Crosstown Showdown last week.
Sophomore quarterback Keirion “KT” Tate rushed for three touchdowns and added one more through the air in what could be a breakout game for the Houston County transfer. Elijah Patmon, Ja’noah Hicks and several other players had noteworthy performances, too.
Now the Eagles turn their attention to another Atlanta opponent (after Mays) in 7A Westlake, who has dispatched 6A Lovejoy (35-13), 7A Wheeler (66-10) and 7A Hillgrove (48-24) to start 2026 undefeated.
In those first three games, Lions quarterback Cannon Robinson threw for 641 yards and nine touchdowns to zero interceptions. Running back Christian Womack has been nothing less than explosive, with 21 carries for 402 yards and five touchdowns. That’s an average of 19.1 yards per carry, and 134 yards per game.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the MAC.
Perry
Perry (1-2) picked up their first win with a 48-7 demolition of Macon opponent Howard at home, a much-needed bounce back after facing two top opponents in their first two weeks.
The Panthers will stay with a Macon opponent as they head up I-75 to take on Northeast, who lost to Warner Robins 21-20 in Week 2. They are 8-4 all-time against the Raiders, though they haven’t played since 2019. The last Northeast win was 6-0 in 2003.
The Raiders struggled with penalties and turnovers in their first two games, though they only came back to bite against the Demons at the MAC.
Quarterback Jordan Wiggins is the player to watch; he’s thrown for 448 yards and five touchdowns to go with 155 yards and three touchdowns rushing. His deep ball got him in trouble in Week 2, but his legs make him incredibly dangerous to opposing defenses.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Macon.
Veterans
Veterans (1-1) was off last week, and now they’ll continue their three-game road trip against 7A opponent Forsyth Central.
The Bulldogs were soundly beaten in Week 1 against 6A Creekview, 33-0, but their last two games have been close losses to 6A Pope (24-21) and 5A Chattahoochee (29-26).
Senior Jake Trail seems to have taken over the quarterback position in the first two weeks; he’s 24-for-40 (60%) for 395 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
The Warhawks haven’t had consistent quarterback play since Jake Maxwell’s injury-free 2022 season, so finding it here could be the turning point for an offense that hasn’t had much recent success.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Forsyth.
Warner Robins
Warner Robins (2-1) suffered their first Crosstown Showdown defeat since 2016 on Friday, 32-10.
After dramatic fourth-quarter comebacks in their first two weeks, the Demons’ offense was never truly able to get going against Northside. This week is another test against 7A Newton, who demolished 5A Locust Grove 71-7 last week.
The Rams also defeated 6A Roswell 42-15 and 7A Douglas County (with familiar face, Trey Byrd) 34-27 in double overtime.
Through the first two games, sophomore quarterback Josiah Frazier has thrown for 436 yards and six touchdowns to complement running back Kevin Hartsfield’s 293 yards on the ground. Hartsfield is averaging seven yards per carry, and has two touchdowns on the season.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Covington.
Westfield
Westfield (3-1) bounced back from their road loss to First Presbyterian Day with a 40-8 home win against Southwest Georgia Academy.
Now the Hornets head back on the road for their final two non-district games, the first against Bulloch Academy.
The Gators are 3-1 and lost 35-23 to John Milledge Academy on Friday, the first time they were held under 30 points this season. They are currently averaging 42 points per game, and scored 128 total in their first three games against Pinewood Christian, Brentwood and Tattnall Square Academy.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Statesboro.
