21st CP introduces new president
Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr. took over on Aug. 1 as president of the 21st Century Partnership.
He said at Thursday’s meeting he is ready to start the process of adding by-laws and calling on retirees to share their expertise and join the partnership.
The partnership is a non-profit corporation that helps preserve and grow the military at Robins Air Force Base. They also help protect the annual $2.9 billion economic impact that is generated from the base. It was stated at the meeting that 47 percent of the earned wages in the county come from Robins Air Force Base.
“This base is an engine,” Stenner said.
He also wants to make it known that the 21st CP’s product is information, properly informing the community from a local level to the macro level in Washington.
In other business, Chief Operating Officer Chrissy Miner shared about the “billions” of reasons to “invest” in the campaign for “Our Base Our Home.” Anyone can become an action team member, she said, by signing up for weekly newsletters, sponsor the 21st Century Partnership, or become a partner in the Combined Federal Campaign.
“It’s not just about the money, it’s about combining the brainpower to help focus on our community’s future success,” said Miner.
